How to create drop down menus in Blogger

Let us go directly to the subject without wasting time. You are here because you know about blogger and you want to make it more users friendly by adding drop-down menus in it.

Follow the below steps :

Before going to these steps, you should have a Post created which you want to bring under the drop-down menu

Step 1. 
              Go to your blogger

              Click - Layout

              Go to the Main Menu tag

              Click - Edit

               
              One small window will pop up. Go to Step 2 given below.

Step 2. (See the screenshot below for more clarity) 

             Keep the Title as Main Menu. Don't change.

             Leave the Number of items to show in list box blank

             Keep the Sorting column as Don't Sort / Sort as per your requirement

             Write the drop down menu title (As you want to appear in your blog) in New Site Name column

             Write # in the New Site URL column

             Click Add Link

             Click Save 

             

Step 3.

           Go to Posts

           Click View button of your post for which you want a drop-down menu

           On clicking the View button, preview window of your post will get open

Step 4.

           copy the URL address from the address bar of your preview window

           close the window and go to blogger

Step 5.

           Go to Layout

           Go to the Main Menu tag

           Click - Edit

Step 6.

           Write your drop-down sub menu name after underscore ( _ ) in the New Site Name column. remember underscore is a must for the submenu.

           Paste the URL address you have copied in the New Site URL column after making the box empty.

           Click - Add Link

            Your submenu will be now visible. Go to the next step 

Step 7.

           Click the down arrow as shown in the below screenshot to take submenu under your main drop-down menu.

           Click save

Go to your blog and you will be amazed to see the drop-down menu ready there.

If you want submenu to your submenu, repeat from Step 3 till the end. But use the double underscore ( __ ) in place of single underscore.
